Super well preserved medieval town! It feels like walking in a village by 1400. Additionally, views of Tuscany from its walls and gardens are really amazing.

Happened in to San Gimignano in the early evening. It was rainy and chilly but that did not deter our immediate love for this town! It is beautiful, quaint and filled with atmosphere. Perfect! Will visit here again for a longer stay

I love seeing history and learning about how people lived centuries ago. San Gimignano offers that and much more. It's covered by lots of shops and restaurants, bit a fun dtop with beautiful view all around.

Central square for one of the most unique places we visited during our trip to Italy. Interesting history around competing families and building increasingly taller and taller towers. Would have been amazing to see in its full glory before towers were reduced. Great ice cream and views across Tuscany too.

San Gimignano is just beautiful. Simply put. Go for the small medieval town and history, stay for the food and gelato. Careful though tons of shopping and the owners will bargain, so you might spend a pretty penny on some great stuff (like my wife did ?). Also do your self a favor and climb the tower, worth the price just for the view alone.

Ok, shortly speaking - this is one of the most beautiful places we have visited in Tuscany!? Built on the hill with a breathtaking view from the very top of the city walls is a must see place - you will not be disappointed. Just small tip, pay attention where you want to eat, the choice is quite nice, but not every place is worth spending your money in.

I'm always impressed with the tranquility of the area. Being in a town that has been around for ages is a very humbling experience.

It was just a quick stop for me, but the autumn Tuscan sky, the little streets, the gelato and the calmness of the visitors made it incredibly pleasant! It was on my list to visit and I am glad I got the chance to be there on a sunny day!
