★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De passage à San Giminiano sur la Via Francigena, j'ai rarement vu un office de tourisme moins accueillant. Quand j'ai demandé ce qu'il y avait à voir, la personne a simplement posé un plan devant moi sans une parole. En fait, elle n'a prononcé qu'un seul mot : "no", en réponse à ma demande de leur laisser mon sac à dos. Ni bonjour, ni merci, ni au revoir... Heureusement que ce n'est pas comme ça partout !
 While passing through San Giminiano on the Via Francigena, I have rarely seen a less welcoming tourist office. When I asked what there was to see, the person simply put a plan in front of me without a word. In fact, she only said one word: "no", in response to my request to leave my backpack with them. Neither hello, nor thank you, nor goodbye ... Fortunately it is not like that everywhere!

Le centinai di turisti, desiderosi di conoscere e valorizzare (a pagamento) le opere architettoniche, trovano chiuso alle 13, perché (testualmente) "fa troppo caldo fino alle 16". Sembra proprio che l'unico interesse sia vendere prosciutto e souvenir
August: only 2 guided tours of the city per day, to be booked days in advance, only 2 guides for the whole city. The hundreds of tourists, eager to get to know and enhance (for a fee) the architectural works, are closed at 13, because (literally) "it's too hot until 16". It seems that the only interest is to sell ham and souvenirs

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peccato, Avevo prenotato la visita alle 15:30 ma essere scacciata - seppur educatamente - dall'interno della proloco a emergenza finita perché, a loro avviso, 3 persone con indosso la mascherina sono troppe, anche no dai, così vi ho dato intenzionalmente buca: ripigliatevi!
Too bad, I had booked the visit at 15:30 but be chased away - albeit politely - from inside the proloco once the emergency is over because, in their opinion, 3 people wearing masks are too many, even no come on, so I intentionally gave you the hole : get back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would say Non-Caucasian people cannot expect enough assistance here. You will feel difficulty to let the staff just recognize you. You cannot expect them to speak sentences which is composed of more than two words. I strongly recommend non-Caucasian people NOT to enter this space.
