★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un ottima trattoria in una posizione molto favorevole, un luogo molto umile e familiare! Il personale é gentilissimo e sa scherzare ed allo stesso tempo essere efficiente nel servizio ! Qualità/prezzo ottima! Abbiamo preso 4 primi, due secondi, due contorni, un dolce e tre caffè due acque e mezzo litro di vino spendendo 60€! Tutto molto abbondante e molto buono! Ci tornerò sicuramente !
 An excellent restaurant in a very favorable position, a very humble and familiar place! The staff is very kind and knows how to joke and at the same time be efficient in the service! Excellent quality / price! We took 4 first courses, two second courses, two side dishes, a dessert and three coffees, two waters and a half liter of wine, spending € 60! All very filling and very good! I will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Metto una sola stella perché Zero non è possibile, ma non ne merita alcuna. Servizio scadente e pessime condizioni igieniche. In piena emergenza non hanno misurato ne la febbre ne preso i nominativi, i bagni sono senza porta, senza carta igienica e senza sapone. L’antipasto era pieno di aceto, il pane abbiamo dovuto chiederlo, per quanto riguarda il primo abbiamo preso le orecchiette ed erano palesemente riscaldate, la grigliata mista era inesistente e servita tiepida con fettine piccolissime e sottilissime, il caffè e il dolce non posso dire nulla perché non abbiamo avuto il coraggio di assaggiarlo.

The appetizer was full of vinegar, the bread we had to ask for, as for the first we took the orecchiette and they were clearly heated, the mixed grill was non-existent and served warm with very small and very thin slices, the coffee and the dessert I cannot say nothing because we didn't have the courage to taste it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrivati a San Giovanni Rotondo decidiamo, come sempre negli ultimi anni di pranzare alla trattoria Piana Romana a due passi dal santuario. Per poi scoprire che la gestione del locale non è più la stessa... Ma comunque decidiamo di fidarci, dopo essere stati accolti da una cameriera ottimista che se n'è venuta fuori con un "non ve ne pentirete!".
Menù da 16 euro con tre scelte di primo e secondo, antipasto, contorno, acqua, vino e caffè. Mi ritrovo un piatto da dolce come antipasto con mezza fetta di bruschetta, 6 olive piccolissime di numero, una striscia di peperone crudo, una rondella di melanzana surgelata, una trofia lessa salsiccia e funghi in brodo e un arrosto misto con a contorno 1/3 di foglia di lattuga. Il caffè poi? Acqua sporca. Che dire!? Sino a pochi mesi fa con la vecchia gestione i clienti erano coccolati e si sentivano a casa e a pari prezzo la qualità era impeccabili, piatti abbondanti (con più assortimento), disponibilità.... Be che dire alla nostra ottimista cameriera!? Ce ne siamo pentiti e sicuramente non non faremo più ritorno....
Once in San Giovanni Rotondo we decide, as always in recent years, to have lunch at the Piana Romana restaurant a stone's throw from the sanctuary. Only to discover that the management of the restaurant is no longer the same ... But anyway we decide to trust it, after being greeted by an optimistic waitress who came up with a "you won't regret it!".
Menu from 16 euros with three choices of first and second course, appetizer, side dish, water, wine and coffee. I find myself a dessert plate as an appetizer with half a slice of bruschetta, 6 very small olives in number, a strip of raw pepper, a slice of frozen aubergine, a boiled trofia sausage and mushrooms in broth and a mixed roast with a side dish 1/3 of lettuce leaf. Coffee then? Dirty water. What can I say !? Until a few months ago with the old management, customers were pampered and felt at home and for the same price the quality was impeccable, abundant dishes (with more assortment), availability .... Well what about our optimistic waitress !? We regretted it and we will certainly never return ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oggi 12 settembre sono andato in pellegrinaggio da padre Pio a San Giovanni Rotondo, era la prima volta che ritornavo dopo il lockdown, solitamente in precedenza capitavo spesso x lavoro o per devozione. Vi dirò che mi piangeva il cuore nn vedere e trovare i pellegrini di una volta. Finita la visita e la funzione religiosa ho cercato dei locali che già conoscevo, con mia sorpresa trovati tutti chiusi, cercando su Google ho notato che vicino alla chiesa c'era la trattoria "Piana Romana" quando sono entrato per chiedere se era possibile pranzare dal un tavolo con dei commensali si è alzata una gentilissima signora accogliendomi con gentilezza e dandomi ampie spiegazioni dove poter parcheggiare, si perché fronte trattoria c'è un'ampio parcheggio con pochi posti disponibili a disco orario e tantissimi a pagamento. Parcheggiato siamo entrati nel locale piccolino ma pulitissimo, siamo stati accolti da una graziosissima e giovanissima signora x dopo scoprire che era la proprietaria, la signora "Maria"; da subito ci ha fatto sentire come se fossimo di casa proponendoci il menù turistico; sinceramente facendo un lavoro dove spesso mangio fuori casa diffido sempre dei menù turistico, questa volta mi sono ricreduto, antipasto della casa, varia scelta di primi e secondi, vino, acqua, caffè e coperto compreso a 16€ a persona. La sorpresa è stata doppia mangiando i piatti che avevamo scelto tutti di ottima qualità e ben cucinato e impiantati. Sicuramente tornerò anche se nn dovessi capitare x lavoro ci andrò con gli amici. Lo consiglio a tutti mi raccomando "Piana Romana". Auguri signora Maria sia x l'onomastico che x l'ottimo servizio, si vede che mamma Rosa ha fatto un buon lavoro di educazione, d'altronde è una professoressa.
Today 12 September I went on a pilgrimage to Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo, it was the first time I returned after the lockdown, usually previously I often happened for work or for devotion. I will tell you that my heart cried not to see and find the pilgrims of the past. After the visit and the religious function I looked for some places I already knew, to my surprise they were all closed, searching on Google I noticed that near the church there was the "Piana Romana" restaurant when I entered to ask if it was possible to have lunch from a table with diners a very kind lady got up, welcoming me with kindness and giving me ample explanations where to park, yes because in front of the restaurant there is a large parking lot with a few parking spaces available and lots for a fee. Parked we entered the small but very clean room, we were greeted by a very nice and very young lady x after discovering that she was the owner, Mrs. "Maria"; he immediately made us feel as if we were at home by offering us the tourist menu; sincerely doing a job where I often eat away from home I always distrust the tourist menus, this time I changed my mind, house appetizer, various choice of first and second courses, wine, water, coffee and cover charge included at € 16 per person. The surprise was double eating the dishes we had chosen all of excellent quality and well cooked and implanted. I will definitely come back even if I don't happen to work I will go there with friends. I recommend it to everyone I recommend "Piana Romana". Greetings Signora Maria both for the name day and for the excellent service, you can see that Mamma Rosa did a good job of education, on the other hand she is a teacher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ciao a tutti. Sono solita mangiare fuori. Esteticamente fuori non da molto l impressione di un ristorante, ma all interno risulta essere rustico e carino come vedrete dalle foto. Abbiamo scelto il menù turistico a 15 euro che prevede un primo, più un assaggio di un altro primo centrale, antipasto locale, e secondo con contorno ossia un tris di carne che però per me era davvero molto poco, accompagnato da patate al forno ed insalata. Posso dire che abbiamo cmq mangiato bene, era tutto buono ed anche il servizio è stato adeguato. Di sicuro lo consiglio
Hi everyone. I used to eat outside. Aesthetically, not long ago the impression of a restaurant, but inside it is rustic and nice as you will see from the photos. We chose the tourist menu at 15 euros which includes a first course, plus a taste of another central course, local appetizer, and second course with a side dish or a trio of meat which, however, was very little for me, accompanied by baked potatoes and salad . I can say that we ate well anyway, everything was good and the service was also adequate. I certainly recommend it
