★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Io e mio marito per Natale abbiamo scelto di regalarci una giornata in pensione completa nell’ Hotel Gran Paradiso e per il servizio ristorazione abbiamo usufruito del ristorante Sale e Pepe. La buonissima cucina e il puntuale servizio ci hanno piacevolmente sorpresi. In particolare vogliamo ringraziare lo splendido personale di sala, il Maitre Francesco e i camerieri Elena e Angelo Pio che ci hanno davvero coccolati. Lo consigliamo sicuramente!

 For Christmas, my husband and I chose to treat ourselves to a day full board in the Hotel Gran Paradiso and for the restaurant service we used the Sale e Pepe restaurant. The excellent cuisine and the punctual service have pleasantly surprised us. In particular we want to thank the splendid dining room staff, the Maitre Francesco and the waiters Elena and Angelo Pio who really pampered us. We definitely recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il ristorante Sale e Pepe si trova all'interno del complesso dell'hotel Gran Paradiso (lo scrivo perchè abbiamo fatto fatica a trovarlo!:-)) Una vera scoperta culinaria, il locale è raffinato ed elegante e questo si rispecchia anche nei piatti. Il Pane e Pomodoro "a Sbafo" è semplicemente meraviglioso! Ma tutta la carta e golosa e invogliante all'assaggio. Tutto lo staff è formato da persone molto cordiali, gentili, allegri e per niente invadenti. Ci siamo stati a pranzo durante una veloce visita al luogo. Assolutamente da non perdere. Bravi! e grazie.
The Sale e Pepe restaurant is located within the Gran Paradiso hotel complex (I write it because we struggled to find it! :-)) A real culinary discovery, the place is refined and elegant and this is also reflected in the dishes. The Pane e Pomodoro "a Sbafo" is simply wonderful! But the whole menu is greedy and tempting to taste. The whole staff is made up of very friendly, kind, cheerful and not at all intrusive people. We were there for lunch during a quick visit to the place. Absolutely not to be missed. Well done! and thanks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Devo dire che è stato davvero una piacevole sorpresa. Prenotato per caso seguendo le recensioni sui vari siti, devo dire ben oltre le aspettative. Avendo anche uno sconto del 50% sul menu alla carta, le porzioni, la cura e la qualità dei piatto non me hanno risentito per niente, anzi devo dire che la serata èstata resa ancora più piacevole dal metre. Oltre alle ottime materie prime utilizzate e la prelibatezza e raffinatezza dei piatti, anche il metre e lo staff di sala si sono contraddistinti per eleganza, gentilezza e professionalità. Consiglio vivamente a chi si trovi a passare di fermarsi per un pranzo o una cena, ne vale veramente la pena. Rapporto qualità/prezzo (senza considerare il coupon) davvero eccezionale.
I must say it was a very pleasant surprise. Booked by chance following the reviews on the various sites, I must say well beyond expectations. Having also a 50% discount on the à la carte menu, the portions, the care and the quality of the dishes did not affect me at all, indeed I must say that the evening was made even more enjoyable by the meter. In addition to the excellent raw materials used and the delicacy and refinement of the dishes, the meter and the dining room staff also stood out for their elegance, kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend to those who are passing by to stop for a lunch or dinner, it is really worth it. Value for money (without considering the coupon) truly exceptional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il ristorante Sale e Pepe è stato parte integrante del nostro soggiorno all'hotel Gran Paradiso durante la nostra settimana di vacanze. Ogni giorno abbiamo deciso di provare i piatti sempre diversi scelti tramite il menù alla carta, quindi più elaborati e costruiti, oppure dal misterioso e più breve menù del giorno, con piatti più semplici e tradizionali. Ogni scelta è stata sempre positiva: tra i preferiti, la millefoglie ai funghi, il Tomahawk e il sorbetto al limone.
Oltre alle portate raffinate e deliziose, siamo stati conquistati anche dal servizio. Tutto lo staff è formato da persone molto cordiali, gentili, allegri e per niente invadenti; in particolare il maitre ci ha accolti sin dall'inizio con eleganza e simpatia, facendoci sentire unici ma allo stesso tempo creando un rapporto molto amichevole.
Un atmosfera e un luogo perfetto per trascorrere il momento del pranzo o della cena in compagnia.
The Sale e Pepe restaurant was an integral part of our stay at the Gran Paradiso hotel during our holiday week. Every day we decided to try the always different dishes chosen from the à la carte menu, therefore more elaborate and constructed, or from the mysterious and shorter menu of the day, with simpler and more traditional dishes. Every choice was always positive: among the favorites, the millefeuille with mushrooms, the Tomahawk and the lemon sorbet.
In addition to the refined and delicious courses, we were also won over by the service. The whole staff is made up of very friendly, kind, cheerful and not at all intrusive people; in particular the maitre d 'welcomed us from the beginning with elegance and sympathy, making us feel unique but at the same time creating a very friendly relationship.
An atmosphere and a perfect place to spend the moment of lunch or dinner with friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a horrible experience at this restaurant. We waited 45 minutes. When the dishes were ready, the waiter delivered to the wrong table, then the waiter simply put appertizer and main dish on the table at the same time. The main dish was supposed to be crispy, but it was far from crispy, it tasted like it was out of freezer and then warmed up in the microwave oven. Hope this was just one-off bad luck.

It begun really well, the food and the wine were tasty, there was a concert, everything good! But, as we were a costumer of the hotel (Gran Paradiso), we did all we had to do so we can pay at the end of our stay (we asked a waiter for the instructions and what to do).
When we left the table, a waiter came running and yelling to us, in front of all the others costumers, to say we didn't pay. When I showed him the proof we did, in fact, put the bill on the room, he just smiled and left, he never apologized!
We felt really bad and embarrassed to be shamed like this in front of a full terrace, and never had an explanation or apologies.
Again : such a shame, because the experience was good, before that.
