★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho visitato Arezzo il 1º Gennaio. Qualsiasi attrazione o chiesa o museo era aperta. L’unica cosa che ho trovato chiuso è stata proprio la casa di Petrarca. Peccato! Un’apertura straordinaria ci sarebbe stata a pennello considerata la mole di gente e considerando anche il fatto che si paga per entrare quindi non sarebbe stata un’apertura “sprecata” ma piuttosto un’apertura finalizzata al mantenimento cittadino. Sarà per la prossima! Si, ma quando? ?
I visited Arezzo on January 1st. Any attractions or churches or museums were open. The only thing I found closed was Petrarch's house. Pity! An extraordinary opening would have been perfectly suited considering the amount of people and also considering the fact that you pay to enter so it would not have been a "wasted" opening but rather an opening aimed at maintaining the city. It will be for the next one! Yes but when? ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa natale del poeta trecentesco Francesco Petrarca, dove però ha trascorso poco tempo della sua vita, avendo svolto la sua attività artistica prevalentemente in altri luoghi. La casa è di per sé interessante, anche se non molto piena di reperti pregevoli che ragionevolmente si aspetterebbero.
Birthplace of the fourteenth-century poet Francesco Petrarca, where, however, he spent little time of his life, having carried out his artistic activity mainly in other places. The house itself is interesting, although not very full of valuable exhibits that one would reasonably expect.
