★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the very first time that I've had such a horrible experience here. I've been coming to this place for years! Maybe because it was almost closing time, which should never be an excuse. Being myself in customer service, i will guarantee an excellent service at all times.
The babà was the DRYEST i had in my entire life (and she even saturated it in front of me so i know it was done, which tells me that it must have been in a bad shape to begin with).
Furthermore I had to dump a nice piece of pastiera in the trash ( the entire 6 euro worth slice) because after one bite i noticed that I was scrunching on eggshell fragments. I've been baking our traditional pastiera all of my life, it is way to complex and expensive (in ingredients and time) to screw it up that way. And yes it was dry as well . What a disappointment!
Update after reading the owner's unapologetic response one day later.
Alle recensioni non si risponde in terza persona, e una cosa scostumata. Io Sono della zona(mia zia era " la Campagnola") e mi rattrista vedere che fine hanno fatto tutti quei negozi di qualità , che non si apprezzano più i clienti.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t know why there is a little reviews about this place. The place is running by three men and seems they are all related. They said they are there for four generations. Anyway, the food was wry taste with reasonable price and nice to seat in the the old town pedestrian street where no cars are passing by. Highly recommended.

I’d always come here again, to try the freshest octopus and the creamiest mozzarella once again :) the owner’s hospitality and friendliness kept our dinner at a top level. Definitely a must-eat place on my map

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not extremely sweet or artificially flavoured fresh and tasty sfogliatelle at a very reasonable price. Nice and polite staff too. Definitely better than the large chain bakeries that try to rip off tourists with yesterdays pastries for twice the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here is unreal! We had two different pasta dishes. Easily the best pasta we’ve ever had. The tomato base tasted really fresh and juicy. Lots of amazing antipasti too - we had a real mix and everything was so tasty. Easily the best pasta and antipasti we’ve ever had.
Simple choices of wine but really good options.
The service (when served) was really good too. The staff were really accommodating. Perhaps a bit short staffed on the night we attended but definitely worth the wait.
We’ll definitely come back and recommend our friends in future.
