La nuova chiesa, ricostruita nel luogo attuale, per volere della nobile famiglia genovese dei Gentile, in seguito alla dismissione del precedente edificio (che sorgeva in prossimità del camposanto), presenta proporzioni architettoniche perfette ed è mantenuta con particolare cura, profusa dall'arciprete e collabolatori. Merita una visita, anche e soprattutto per il clima spirituale, di cui si può beneficiare in tale luogo. La consacrazione avvenne il giorno 27 agosto 1958, ad opera di Mons. L'attuale Chiesa venne edificata nel 1672,su un edificio già esistente.Splendidi i suoi affreschi e le sue opere d'arte. Il sagrato della Chiesa,è pavimentato con pietre rotondeggianti,che formano un prezioso disegno artistico a mosaico.
