La facciata é in stile neoclassica, richiama un tempio greco con il suo portico sostenuto da 5 colonne. L'interno, invece, distacca dall'esterno, non ci aspettiamo un'interno barocco. Infatti L'interno é diviso in tre navate, a pianta longitudinale, in stile barocco. Le caratteristiche che rendono meravigliosa questa basilica sono: - la meraviglia dei suoi affreschi; - I rifinimenti barocchi; - la struttura esterna con lineamenti precisi. Ingresso: libero. The Basilica of Santa Maria di Nazareth is a masterpiece for Sestri Levante. The current structure was built 1604. All'interno sono presenti alcune belle opere come l'altare maggiore, un crocifisso del XII secolo noto come "Santo Cristo". At the end of the walk in the center of Sestri you come across the facade of the Basilica of S.M. of Nazareth, looks like a Roman temple with a beautiful pronaos in which a Christian church is enclosed. Ci sono molti affreschi molto interessanti da vedere. Le funzioni sono molto vive e animate. Vale la pena fermarsi a visitarla ma anche partecipare a una funzione! La chiesa si trova alla fine del tipico carrugio di Sestri Levante, affacciata su una piazza con vista sulla splendida Baia del Silenzio. All'interno bellissomi affreschi e un altare opera di maestri scultori del Settecento. Wonderful example of neoclassical with baroque decorative signs. Beautiful setting and an example of understated Renaissance style. Wheelchair friendly and suitable for all ages. There's limited parking spaces opposite the church or street parking. It's not as magnificent looking from the outside but once inside your senses are certainly provoking calmness. Very friendly and welcoming parishioners who mind this Cathedral. It's easily accessible on foot from the train station. This is not too far from the famous Bay of Silence (Baia del Silenzio). Lovely church in a beautiful town.
