Visited on the occasion of a roll opening day. The salons on the first floor deserve a visit.

E' il primo palazzo di Strada Nuova (ora via Garibaldi) sul lato a valle ; la sua costruzione terminò nel 1564 e fu inserito nella prima edizione della raccolta ' i Palazzi Moderni di Genova ' del fiammingo Paolo Rubens , pubblicato a Anversa nel 1622 ; diversamente dagli altri edifici ha un prospetto spoglio , soltanto intonacato e privo di decorazioni , escluso il portale in marmo bianco , sormontato dalle statue della Vigilanza e della Prudenza ; corpose modifiche vennero effettuate nella seconda metà del seicento ; dal 1823 è proprietà di un istituto di credito , che ha apportato alcune modifiche .

It is the first building in Strada Nuova (now via Garibaldi) on the downstream side; its construction ended in 1564 and was included in the first edition of the collection 'the Modern Palaces of Genoa' by the Flemish Paolo Rubens, published in Antwerp in 1622; unlike the other buildings, it has a bare façade, only plastered and devoid of decorations, except for the white marble portal, surmounted by the statues of Vigilanza and Prudenza; substantial changes were made in the second half of the seventeenth century; since 1823 it has been owned by a credit institution, which has made some changes.
