Since then I have purchased at least a dozen beautiful frames, and on our last visit in November 2019 I had my eyes tested by Roberto, found a fantastic pair of frames, had the new lenses ground to my prescription, and the completed ensemble was shipped to me by recorded post, along with my Ottica Vascellari sunglasses, purchased years ago, but now with new prescription lenses. The whole process was handled extremely efficiently by Renato, and I am enjoying my new spectacles very much! We will return to Venice in 2020...

Driven by the patient and modest charm of Roberto, a member of the founding Vascellari family, aided by his consiglieri Renato, the shop is a balm for the soul as well as a cure for all matters optical. My wife and I have been making long-weekend trips to Venice for 14 years (the last one during the acqua alta of November 2019) and we call in every time. Their glasses are stylish as only the Italians know how and conservatively priced. If I had been given a pound for every compliment my Vascellari-designed frames had elicited over the years I would have been able to acquire a clutch of replacements free. Roberto, Renato, thank you both for your unique service and skill. Salute a tutti and see you again when the pandemic permits.

It was a comfortable commercial transaction and I was made to feel in control of the decisions required . In an atmosphere that was both casual and professional the team proved reliable in meeting promised delivery times. Now that I have been using both the reading and the graduated lends i purchased I am satisfied I got good value for my money.

Outstanding frames and service and you are supporting a wonderful local business. Best of all, your frames are going to be unique.. It's so easy to buy from them remotely as you can do a consultation via Skype to choose your frames and then I have my local optician make the lenses. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Concerned that my favorite frames may one day wear out, I reached out for assistance with new frames. Over a series of emails I was provided with images that allowed me to choose new frames of my liking. The process was efficient and gracious and my frames arrived carefully packaged and protected to the US. I will tell others about Ottica Vascellari and will purchase from them again in the future!
