★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb. You can pay much more and get merely mediocre Tuscan food at dozens of tourist restaurants, some of which are only steps away. Or you can be treated as family and enjoy superb meat and pasta dishes at this small husband and wife restaurant. The Dado Gnocchi is a particular favorite. Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nonna Gina’s is the kind of ideal local restaurant that you dream of finding when traveling in a new country. The food is delicious and distinctly local, the staff is friendly and happy to help explain the all-Italian menu, and the building itself carries the warmth of your grandmothers kitchen. The gnocchi and the local pork dish were amazing, and the complimentary post-dinner grappa & amaretto is a delightful touch that combined to make this our favorite meal during a week in Siena, Rome and Venice. Do make a reservation in advance, as it can fill up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderfully, cozy family-run restaurant located atop the hillside within the old fortress walls of Siena, Italy! I had a wonderful dinner of Pasta and Gnocchi (see the pics.) Arguably some of the best that I've ever enjoyed! Capped it off with an Excellent Amaretto! Everybody was so friendly and I truly loved the atmosphere! This is a must do when visiting the Old Fortress area!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly, cozy atmosphere with 4-5 star food at 2 star prices. The 12€ antipasti fantasia was superb and enough for 4-6 before a secondi. Gnocchi Lella cheese filled with creamy pistachio sauce was off the charts. Don’t miss the homemade Amaretto!
