★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend to check out this place. It is located in a very small street, away from the more "tourist places" and that's exactly the experience you will get here. The menu is only available in italian but the owner/service chef is extremely nice and will take his time to translate into english if needed. The food is delicious and typically italian. We paid around 55€ for three courses for 2 persons including wine so prices are good as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love, love, love! What a great place to enjoy delicious homemade food and carefully selected local wines. We were so happy after our first dinner here, that we booked a table for the next night as well. I cannot pick a favorite dish because everything was sooo good. However, the most special part of Osteria Marise are the incredible owners, Monica and Gianfranco. They made our trip to Trieste unforgettable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming little restaurant with authentic and perfectly cooked italian food. The pasta was cooked perfectly on point, the sauce full of taste. The chocolate cake a perfect dessert.
The host was full of energy and we felt he really loved the food they offered. Service was very fast and attentive, prices perfectly reasonable
The menu is presented on masking tape wich is stuck onto a blackbird. Very creative and practical.

We read some reviews and decided to eat there - didn’t preplan and they were booked solid (which seems to be the norm) but spoke to the owners and they got us a spot the next night. Never mind the food (BEYOND good), so delightful and atmosphere is wonderful. It’s unassuming and cozy, and possibly one of the best meals I’ve had in Italy in all of my travels here. A hidden gem would be an understatement. I do not gush over restaurants as a rule, and I am gushing. Best unkempt secret in Trieste!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderfull starter with eggs & asparaghus and bruschetta with bacala creme, then perfectly made thuna and sugo di guancia di maiale. We were served quickly and service was friendly and simpatici. thank you we will definitely revisit when in trieste again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of our favorite restaurants in our entire trip! Super friendly service, amazing food - all the dishes were fresh, flavorful, and unique. Prices are also super fair for the quality. You can tell it’s super popular with locals. We felt very welcomed and at home. Recommend the squid & shrimp main and truffle frittata…desserts are also delectable.
