★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to clarify something for future costumers: in the evening they only have the set menu for 25 euro. It's a huge amount of food (way more than one person can eat I think) so it's worth the price but for me so much food was not necessary. At lunch time one can order specific dishes for the menu.
The food was kind of nice but I didn't love it... Pasta was too al dente for my liking (almost crunchy) and the meat was too salty. Service was good though, they were very nice. It was a nice experience to try local cuisine but not my favourite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A quirky place, but friendly and cheap. Pay only €25 each for a four course meal. This included a starter, pasta course, meat course and then traditional biscuits for pudding. Pay extra for any drinks. All food was very tasty and it was nice to sit outside on a street that's a little bit away from the main tourist thoroughfare.
Beef stew and mini roasted potatoes was the best course I had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pasta was too al dente and too salty (especially the carbonara) & the two meat courses (meatballs and stew) were almost tasteless. In addition, when the waiter saw that we bearly touched the meat courses he did not ask what was the problem, he just took the plates and took off without caring. One positive element, if you do not care much for the taste that is, for 25 euros per person it is a lot of food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is authentic Roman (Etruscan) cuisine. From the best you will find in Rome. Italian food is boring but this is as good as it can get. Mostly Italians go here because no tourist will go on these back streets period.
