We randomly found this exclusive tour on Air Bnb, and we hit the JACK-POT! You must book this tour if you wants something different and unique experience! We are so blessed and grateful to have Irene A. (Tour lady). First of all, the tour is literally me and my sister only! Irene greets us in the morning with warmth, and ask us if we had breakfast yet coz the tour will be long. First stop is at the Vatican museum, she took us to this super exquisite room, no tour was allowed, and you can’t even google it! That room was full of beautiful sculptures and super refined mosaic work I’ve never seen and I study arts! She really go out her way to make this happened! She explained Raphael’s room in detail, and showed us so many things that no normal tour share, and because it’s just me and my sister, she could answer all of our questions! There is just too much to cover at once ~ lastly, she is an AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER! LIKE MODEL PROFLE PIC PROFESSIONAL! When we were meeting up early in the morning, I saw all the other tours were like 10-20 people, there’s no way they can have experience like ours. Thank you Irene!

My daughter, granddaughter and I took the small group tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica led by Erturk. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and patient and, as it was so crowded, it would have been easy to miss lots of the detail but his enthusiasm brought it to life for us. We had a short wait for our tickets and were then issued with an earpiece connected to his microphone so we could hear what he was telling us. Be prepared for a lengthy visit as our tour overran but we enjoyed every minute!

We have had two tours with Once in Rome and we were overjoyed with the detail provided in both those tours. Marta was our guide for the Vatican and we could not fault her information provided, the historical links and the details of the artwork, the sculptures, the tapestries and the map room. We had plenty of time to explore the three areas we went to. I will certainly be recommend this tour group should they ever come to Rome. Thank you so much!!!

We had the pleasure of taking the "PASTA & PIZZA Making, Tiramisu, & Limoncello Tasting Cooking Class in Rome" and all I have to say is WOW! Great people, great food, great wine. Good times all around. Everyone was so fun and it was truly an experience. We recommend this class to anyone who wants a good laugh while learning the art of Italia cooking. Buongiorno & Bon AppΓ©tit!

Tour guide was very good and only a dozen people versus e.g. 100 with some of the other tours we saw BUT... We ordered via expedia and paid after having checked availability so we were all paid and ready, and the tour operator cancelled at the last minute saying the tour had too few people. However, the expedia blurb said that at least 2 people are enough for the tour to go ahead and we had booked 3 people. Anyway, we were only in Rome for 2 days so we rebooked for our day 2. We were already suspicious of the tour operator and thought this wouldn't be a problem but read on... When we turned up at 8:45 AM then we needed to wait until 9 AM for the 11 people in the group to turn up. Two didn't turn up and we wasted another 15 minutes waiting for them to turn up. However, the first 15 minutes should have been the waiting period. Also, we were handed out tickets which we discovered are valid for a second day... But we couldn't use the second day because we had shifted our tour to our last day. The second day would have been useful because the tour does not give you time to properly explore all the exhibits. The tour owner must have known that when he forced us to shift dates because we told him in the email that it was our last day. However, he didn't care about us or draw our attention to this. During the tour there are little hearing pieces which work generally well except ours failed 3 times meaning that part of the tour was without commentary. On top of this the meeting place with the tour guide is not well described. The taxi driver dropped us off at the described place but it is not where the tour guide was. We had to use our common sense to figure out where the tour guide really was. This might be too much for some people especially if they arrive via taxi like us. I would give 5 stars if not for all the problems and issues. It felt like the tour owners do not have the best interests of their customers in mind when doing business.

We were so lucky to get to experience Once in Rome on our vacation! We took two incredible tours with Eva, who is not only knowledgeable but delightful to spend time with. I doubt Rome has a better tour guide than her! It was the perfect tour experience. We also took Giuseppe's Pizza and Pasta cooking class and never laughed harder or ate better! The atmosphere and experience were just what we needed to complete our adventure, plus we felt right at home! Once in Rome must be repeated...Again in Rome!
