J	James Hill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is situated in the old part of Cisternino, but easy to find. On first appearances it looks a bit tacky with paper place mats on the tables, but it’s part of the experience. The owners speak English. We had booked a table which was just as well as it was very busy (Saturday evening). We were greeted immediately and shown to our table and before long the chef/owner came to take our order. We had a starter of mixed meets to share, 5 different types, very tasty and a good portion. Main course we had lamb coated with a herb crust and spigola, a local white fish coated in olives and bread crumbs and lightly grilled. Both dishes were excellent and I must say it was one of the nicest fish dishes I’ve had in Puglia. The fish was filleted and there was not one bone left in it. The desert I ordered was not available, but the chef came out of his kitchen to apologise and offer an alternative. There is a decent wine list and draught lager. We tried a rosé and couple of glasses of the house white, both were local and very good. I recommend that you give it a try. This is one of the best restaurants in Cisternino.

No booking possible, so go there, ask a table and wait with a glass on the charming small public place. Count on 30euros per person for a full meal with wine. I recommend.

The staff were also fantastic and welcoming, the chef even came out to talk to us after our meal! I would recommend this place and would return here if we are ever back in the area.
