★ ★ ★ ★ ★ great mixed antipasti selection with some unusual spins on Puglian classics. We were too full for pasta so skipped to secondi, the veal fillet was fantastic. Even if you're really full, still try "The egg" for dolce honestly one of the best desserts I have ever tasted!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As expected. Food smartly arranged, relatively good and tasty, but not worth the price. The waiter seemed to forget that we were there after getting the orders, we had to wait until we had finished the meal before he brought the wine. We have been there several times, but not sure if we are coming back. The competition for guests is fierce in this area of Puglia and this place is on a downhill slope.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Osteria Sant'Anna for the first time last night. We were truly impressed by the ambience, with the tables far enough apart to give one a feeling of security in Covid times, plus the discreet lighting and elegant decor. Then, the food! Everything we ate was delicious, beautifully presented and served by wonderfully attentive waiters. I had the sushi; spicy rolls filled with salmon and avocado, followed by grilled lamb with a coating of herbs. My dessert was pannacotta shaped like an egg with a yellow centre of mango. Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend a visit. We'll definitely be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this restaurant at 8:30 on a Saturday evening and it was already very busy, so I would advise booking a table.
The restaurant is situated beside the train station on the Cisternino side a few hundred meters outside the town centre, there is ample parking.
The outside of the building is old fashioned and the sign is a bit difficult to spot especially at night. Inside it is traditional Italian decor, warm and inviting with linen tablecloths and napkins.
On perusing the menu the deserts sounded delicious so we both had main courses (seconda) followed by desert. I had bacala a fish very similar to cod which was cooked with a sauce, it was nicely presented and very good. My wife had lamb cutlets which were cooked pink to perfection. We had grilled vegetables to accompany the mains.
The star of the show was my desert, a thin white chocolate egg filled with panna cotta on a bed of mango gelato with dried coconut. Superb.
There is a good wine list all reasonably priced.
Service was prompt, professional and friendly.
I’ve tried many restaurants in Cisternino and this is certainly one of the best. Give it a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very romantic and refined place. Loved how rustic yet not crowded the place was decorated, with old stone walls and beautiful old photos hanging on it. The different rooms makes it look like it was an old castle.
So enjoy their wine and I loved their Angus beef.
The rabbit looked tasty as well and their cheese and ham selection is highly recommended.
Try not to overeat the starter bread!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice place with a cute garden that serves modern takes on classic Apulian food. They were kind enough to accommodate us without a reservation. We got the house appetizers which were all very good. The fave e cicoria were the best I’ve tried yet. Highly recommended.
