A small village in the beautiful Itria Valley. I love walking through the white streets of its historic center, from which flowers, bicycles or colored doors emerge. Cisternino is adorable, visit it! Also, do not miss the panoramic point at sunset.

Congratulations to the Municipality of Cisternino for having been able to exploit this town in the upper Valle d'Itria. The place itself is very beautiful, but the visitor is offered an exciting environment, thanks to the neatness of his buildings, the cleanliness and order that reign everywhere. Do not meet off-key notes, wherever you look, it is natural to take a picture to capture that very pleasant moment. Well done and keep this lovely place for a long time.

One of the most beautiful villages I've ever seen charming and not too crowded place, in this period there is an initiative the village that rocks, there are 12 swings scattered throughout the village with a path that invites you to visit the whole village. Stupendous

High on a limestone staircase of the undulating Murgia of South-East, lapped by the breezes of the nearby Adriatic and surrounded by the flourishing of the countryside, Cisternino enjoys a privileged position. At 393 meters above sea level, the town dominates the Itria Valley, a suggestive morphotectonic depression that expresses completely original rural characters. A karst space shaped over the centuries by the hand of man in an uninterrupted succession of dry stone walls, patches of red earth, almond trees, rural roads, fig trees, groups of majestic oaks, small sinkholes, low rows of vines, twisted olive trees, prickly prickly pears decorated with sweet and colorful fruits. "An oasis of population scattered" in the many districts. A territory made unique by many trulli, buildings that for harmony, liveliness and architectural fantasy do not find the same elsewhere. Solitary, united with small groups or crowded around the most aristocratic farms, they represent the cornerstones of a settlement reality that has its roots in 1566, the year in which Cisternino redeemed the state lands belonging to Monopoli from the Royal Court. Those same lands that in a long process of distribution and land transformation would have built the basis for the development of the lively anthropological and economic reality whose signs are still admired today as brushstrokes of a living picture. One of the most beautiful villages of our country, Cisternino certainly offers a pleasant stay to visitors who stop to visit it but also to those who decide to have a lunch / dinner. The view is enchanting and despite not having the possibility to show it in the photos (battery problems), I suggest you visit it without expecting too much but even thinking that it is an ordinary place: Cisternino has its own reason, it has its own identity and it was a place short stay very welcome.

Very characteristic country ... with corners of art ..... a little chaotic in the evening ... definitely worth visiting with a good meat-based dinner
