The most beautiful station in Naples: a pity it is underused. Very few trains pass there, but the location is very suggestive

This is a wedding favor other than a station. Architecture worthy of note, even if modernity is depriving it more and more of its human soul. For those who knew it as a child, with its 6 tracks, the express for Rome at 19.00, the direct route, the accelerator, the stationmaster, the railway workers, and its 24-hour operation, can understand what I mean. It has become a ghost station and debased its former importance in spite of its beauty.

Very beautiful station from an architectural point of view

Nonostante questo a me piace molto. Edicola quasi sempre aperta dove poter prendere i biglietti.
Very nice as a station, well done with some internal rooms that, however, overlook the outside with tables, for example the bar and the Sombrero club on the right at the end of the station. The inside is almost always dirty BUT I often find workers cleaning. Unfortunately, I always see ugly people wandering around here, and few security cameras. Despite this I like it very much. Newsstand almost always open where you can get tickets.

Very confused station. I was marching over 15 min. to get a right platform to Garribaldi station.

Came here to take the train to Cavour after eating at the 50 Kalo pizzeria. The first problem with this station was that it was smelly and dirty, and was clearly not cared for properly. The second thing I noticed was that the signs were very confusing. Knowing very little Italian, and not being able to understand, I asked a worker at the kiosk who was clearly inattentive and gave us directions to the metro platform instead of the train platform. All the signs were just marked train, which made it very hard to find the correct platform. Luckily we met a very polite man who was taking the same train and showed us the way until Cavour. Another very funny thing I noticed was the sign which said "Do not cross the railway tracks use the subway". I thought it was clearly supposed to mean use the underground passage.

No information on directions. Only one ticket machine which works very slowly (even Italians took ages to complete all the choices.) We decided to walk instead. What a medieval system. Now we understand why this city is overcrowded with cars. Avoid!
