This was a great little museum in the basement of a Vespa dealer. The have taken the care to preserve a bunch of models you can look at. They also sell and rent them as well so if you want to whip around Rome on an Italian scooter then by all means look them up. They had helmets and all the gear you need. not sure if you need a motorcycle license to rent.

I think people moaning about it being small are being mean! They should consider it is the owner of a scooter shop who has made an effort to use his basement to make a free exhibition for Vespa enthusiasts located in a costly part of rome and he does it for FREE. He has limited space but what he has on show is lovely, including a very rare 1949 Farro Basso. The owner and his co-worker were really friendly, good fun and I loved it. Such nice people and a lovely place. So if your near the colloseum area and like to see some old Vespas pop in.

Museo Vespa was fun and cute, though a bit underwhelming. Coming from the USA, Vespas are popular. When we say that they were even more popular in Italy and we heard there is a museum, we expected something fairly elaborate. In truth, the museum is one room in the basement level of a very popular scooter rental shop. It is well put together and well maintained, just much smaller than we expected. For a free attraction I can't complain too much.

Fun spot to see the history of the Vespa, dedicated museum, and it's free. Also can rent them.there.

Not worth the time it took to get there.. Very VERY small collection of scooters. No engines on display, no explanation of special parts. We were disappointed. Only thing that was good, was that it was free to enter. ;)

Small shop that rents scooters, sells apparel and has a small basement museum. I visited today and the owner seemed really cool. He told us a little about the museum and asked if I owned a Vespa. Definitely recommend if you need to kill 15-30 mins
