Speriamo che l amministrazione riesca a trovare i soldi per il restauro anche delle barchesse. The restoration of the villa is very nice. A bit bare of furnishings but still a charming environment. Alla morte del committente , il Massari ne divento' proprietario . La villa è incorniciata da due splendide barchesse colonnate ad andamento curvo che ospitavano le strutture per le attività agricole (allevamento dei bachi, tessitura della seta). L'ingresso al corpo centrale della Villa , si raggiunge passando attraverso il piccolo parco antistante la struttura , sul retro uno splendido parco con alberi secolari e statue , al limite della cinta muraria un esedra con statue . All' esterno e fronte strada la bellissima chiesetta in stile barocco , addossata al muro di cinta in mattoni e sasso e comunicante con il giardino della Villa . L'ultimo proprietario della Villa l' avv. Lattes , ha realizzato negli anni una ricca collezione di carillon / automi meccanici con oggetti anche rari , la Villa ora di proprieta' del Comune di Istrana e' visitabile , ed adibita a museo . Villa Lattes, a splendid Venetian Villa built in 1715 to a design by the architect Giorgio Massari and commissioned by the wealthy merchant Paolo Tamagnino. On the death of the client, Massari became the owner. The villa is framed by two splendid curved columned barchesse that housed the structures for agricultural activities (breeding of silkworms, silk weaving). The entrance to the central body of the Villa is reached by passing through the small park in front of the structure, on the back a splendid park with centuries-old trees and statues, at the edge of the walls an exedra with statues. Outside and facing the street the beautiful baroque style church, leaning against the brick and stone wall and communicating with the garden of the Villa. The last owner of the Villa the lawyer. Lattes, has created over the years a rich collection of mechanical carillons / automata with even rare objects, the Villa now owned by the Municipality of Istrana can be visited and used as a museum.

Al visitatore non sfugge la necessità di riparazioni in diversi punti .....Peccato che accanto alla cucina antica sia molto evidente la presenza di una appartenente ai nostri giorni, a mio avviso andrebbe nascosta almeno da una tenda......inoltre rilevo l' allestimento dei carillons stridente con il resto dell' arredamento..... La curiosità è che ha una collezione di carillon vecchissimi interessante. Very nice villa, small if we compare it with other Venetian villas.
