This is an Orthodox Church. Since I visited the Church I know Father Ion well, he is an excellent person, does an extraordinary job, and always gives real examples of what he has gone through. We are always welcome in the house of God, regardless of the religion we have

The church, which has its own historical importance, is currently used by the Romanian and Moldavian community to officiate Orthodox religious services. It is worthwhile, if passing, to take a look inside and if you happen on Sunday morning you can attend the Orthodox Mass.

The church of Sant'Agostino is located in the historic center of Treviso. The exterior is in a beautiful neoclassical style. Unfortunately, I can't give you more than a little star because I found it closed the day I went. Date of my visit: 3/07/2020 ... Around 2:30 pm.

The church of Sant'Agostino impresses with its elliptical construction with a curved and dynamic facade in the perfect baroque style, consecrated in 1758. Unfortunately no viewing was possible, locked.

Bellissima chiesa sede della chiesa ortodossa (anche). Mensa in Rumeno e Russo.
Beautiful church seat of the Orthodox church (also). Mensa in Romanian and Russian. Beautiful baptisms and weddings are celebrated here. Thanks to the management the place is pleasant. Last Saturday I attended my grandson's baptism and we had a great time.

A beautiful elegant church with an interesting history. The Church of Sant’Agostino (Church of St. Augustine) is the unique example of sacred building in Treviso which has an elliptic plan. In the middle of the 18th century the edification of this church began and it ended in 1758 by the design of the friar Francesco Vecellio. The new church was built where once there was the first church, which had a rectangular plan. Today there are still some evidences of the old church, among these we may remember that of Nicolò Cima who described it as a building with three naves perhaps the statuette of St. Antonio (which it is possible to see on the façade today) belonged to this old Church. The Church of St. Augustine, as other churches in Treviso (for example the Chiesa di San Vito - Church of St. Vito, the Chiesa di Santa Lucia - Church of St. Lucy , and the Chiesa di Sant'Andrea - Church of St. Andrew), was the seat of a school: the School of Cobblers. Indoor the Church of St. Augustine there are a lot of admirable masterworks, when we go in from the main entrance we may see two frescoes representing, the ‘Flagellazione’ (scourging) and the „St. Sebastiano“, both frescoes are made in the 14th and 15th century. On the left in a little cavity we may be impressed by the „Madonna della cintura“ which, as statues of St. Augustine and his mother Monica, comes from the Church of St. Margherita. We may also see two anconas, the first made by Ludovico Pozzoserrato is located on the right altar, it represents St. Aniano, who is patron of Scuola dei ‘Calegheri’ (Cobblers ’School), the Saint is represented while he is repairing a shoe and St. Mark, St. Julian and the Madonna are looking at him.
