★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice museum, a bit complicated to go around not very well organized. It is great if you can visit it during the week but must be crowdy on weekends ( I was there to see Rodin exibition)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called simply the Museo Civico in my Eyewitness guide it is now called after the Santa Caterina church next door. The museum is recently completely refurbished and excellent. Not huge but beautifully displayed. The highlights for me are the detached 14th century frescoes shown in the church and Lorenzo Lotto's portrait of a Dominican friar upstairs in the super picture gallery. There is also a fantastical Boschian landscape of St Christopher in Hell (hung to high for such a star turn). Do also see the Museum Bailo also refurbished in pristine fashion.
