There was a lady guarding the paintings on the basement and she shouted at me and told me "no touch" while i was closely examining one of the artwork. It was very rude to assume that i was touching it when i did not and do not even have the intention of touching it. That guard had my eyes closely following me whervwr I go and I feel totally discrimnated. Bad expeirence

Although the artifact is neat to see, it is basically the only thing here. You can see it through the glass windows for free, and a lot of it is not even the original. They have a special exhibition space underground, but it costs extra. The bathrooms were clean. The staff were very kind and helpful. I would not visit again. This museum is included in the MIC card.

Says it's half price after 5:30 but still came out as €13. Very small and not much to see. Huge glass walls so save yourself the fee and walk round the museum peering in.

The Ara Pacis is one of my favorite monuments from ancient Rome, and in-person it does nor disappoint! Absolutely stunning artwork and history, and the museum it is in highlights this.

A gem of ancient Roman civilization in the downtown. The Temple is under a new architectural cover project. Inside the structure you'll find the kingdom of silence just at the side of the river. There is also an exposition area in the basement and if you are lucky you can find good exhibitions like the one I found at begin of Jan 2022 on Alberto Biasi an Italian Futurist.

Sacrificial altar. There are two floors you can explore. The art exhibition of kinetic objects is interesting and in some parts, trippy!

Of all the touristy things I've done in Rome from walking into free churches that were palaces to overpaying for this place, this was the museum where I felt the most cheated. Half the elements are 3/4 mockups made from plaster of Paris. I kept walking around looking for the big deal, the big wow, the burial site... Nope, nothing. At least I got to use the bathroom but just so you know, they don't have toilet seats either.

The Ara is very beautiful. But the museum is very bare. More should be added to make the experience more memorable. I did really enjoy the temporary exhibit
