Pleasant surprise in visiting the Casa Pagani Museum and the church of San Martino in Valsolda. The presentation of the Museum is very good. I recommend the visit, combining it with the visit of the Fogazzaro Roi villa

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Museo Casa Pagani, in linea d'aria sopra Villa Fogazzaro Roi,presso la frazione Castello,non era visitabile,poiché in estate apre solo sabato e domenica. Ma non dovete assolutamente perdervi la chiesa di S.Martino,sempre a Castello,'la piccola Sistina' della Valsolda. Bellissima.
The Casa Pagani Museum, as the crow flies above Villa Fogazzaro Roi, near the hamlet of Castello, could not be visited, since in summer it only opens on Saturday and Sunday. But you should definitely not miss the church of San Martino, also in Castello, 'the little Sistine Chapel' of Valsolda. Gorgeous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museo sito nella frazione di Castello, Valsolda, che contiene alcune opere del pittore Paolo Pagani cui il Museo è dedicato. Altre opere sono esposte di altri pittori e pezzo importante e particolare, la Madonna Lignea che vale assolutamente una visita per lei. Guide preparate sono a disposizione per illustrare le opere esposte e l'apertura è solo nei week end e giorni festivi (11.00 --18.00)
Museum located in the hamlet of Castello, Valsolda, which contains some works by the painter Paolo Pagani to whom the Museum is dedicated. Other works are exhibited by other painters and an important and particular piece, the Wooden Madonna which is absolutely worth a visit for her. Prepared guides are available to illustrate the works on display and the opening is only on weekends and holidays (11.00 - 18.00)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo si trova all'interno della casa natale di Giuseppe Pagani,pittore famoso per aver affrescato la vicina chiesa di San Martino, definita, a ragione, la cappella sistina della Lombardia. Al primo piano si trovano 6 tele del pittore. La vista dalle finestre è bellissima.
The museum is located inside the birthplace of Giuseppe Pagani, a painter famous for having frescoed the nearby church of San Martino, rightly called the Sistine chapel of Lombardy. On the first floor there are 6 paintings by the painter. The view from the windows is beautiful.
