 Very beautiful. Quiet where you find time for prayer. Interesting for history and art. There are no souvenirs and postcards.

Very nice sanctuary just a few minutes by car from Porlezza. Intimate is a place of peace. Stunning view of the lake and valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bel Santuario situato salla sponda del lago di Lugano, quasi al confine con la Svizzera. Nato da una guarigione, sorge su una antica cappella usata come lazzaretto. Alcuni dipinti ed affreschi sono in ristrutturazione. L'immagine miracolosa della Madonna è antica e rappresenta una donna sofferente che porta in braccio il suo Cristo. Sorge in una bellissima posizione panoramica sul lago. Attorno ed al di sotto sono sorte numerosissime abitazioni che lo circondano togliendogli un poco del carattere meditativo che un Santuario dovrebbe avere.
Beautiful Sanctuary located on the shore of Lake Lugano, almost on the border with Switzerland. Born from a healing, it stands on an ancient chapel used as a hospital. Some paintings and frescoes are under renovation. The miraculous image of the Madonna is ancient and represents a suffering woman carrying her Christ in her arms. It rises in a beautiful panoramic position on the lake. Around and below there are numerous houses that surround it, taking away a little of the meditative character that a Sanctuary should have.
