C	Camille Monnoyer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On a eu le sale tour d'être dirigé vers palazzo pour aller à cette cascade. On a entrepris une montée vraiment compliquée, avant d'apprendre que l'accès était désormais fermé. On est allé à Begna, suivi les panneaux du coup, c'était plus simple que Google maps. L'accès est un peu compliqué, il monte pas mal puis redescends, et attention ça glisse ! Mais une fois arrivés... Quelle magie ! À couper le souffle. Un petit pont en pierre passe au dessus du cours d'eau, et au fond, la cascade. On avait l'endroit pour nous tout seul, mon compagnon et moi. C'était magique. On ne peut pas y nager, mais on peut s'y poser tranquillement si on a le courage face à l'eau très fraîche ! Quel plaisir de se tenir près de la chute et ressentir le vent et les éclaboussures. Ça en vaut vraiment le détour si vous êtes de passage dans le coin. We had the dirty trick of being directed to palazzo to go to this waterfall. We undertook a really complicated climb, before learning that the access was now closed. We went to Begna, followed the signs, it was easier than Google maps. Access is a bit complicated, it goes up quite a bit then down again, and be careful, it's slippery! But once there ... What magic! Breathtaking. A small stone bridge passes over the stream, and at the bottom, the waterfall. We had the place to ourselves, my partner and me. It was magical. You can't swim there, but you can sit there quietly if you have the courage to face the very cold water! What a pleasure to stand near the waterfall and feel the wind and the splash. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

I cartelli con le indicazioni per arrivarci iniziano al parco di Begna, vicino alla chiesa (salendo a Begna si trova una chiesa con dietro un parco. Andando in fondo al parco, a destra, si trova il primo cartello davanti alla strada a destra). Stunning waterfalls about half an hour walk from Porlezza, definitely worth seeing! The signs with directions to get there begin at the park of Begna, near the church (going up to Begna you will find a church with a park behind it. Going to the end of the park, on the right, you will find the first sign in front of the road on the right).

B	Bram Grolleman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Glorious, although not that big, waterfall hidden in the mountains above Porlezza. Not such a big hike, but featuring a reasonable climb and rough (although it is a path) terrain, but once arriving at the falls the background waterfall noise and the soothing stream make for an exceptionally serene experience. Pro tip: take the car to Oratorio di San Giuseppe, park there for free, and hike the last part up. We decided to hike from Porlezza city, and that quickly got quite intense.
R	Roy Bisschops on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice walk from Porlezza, not too difficult: first on asphalt and then on a trial, but also not accessible by car (a positive aspect!) so it won't be too crowded. Maybe not the best idea going here with small kids and no carrying backpack. I guess it's best to go early and not during the weekends to avoid lots of visitors. The water is refreshing, some might call it cold, but hey, it's a waterfall. I did expect something bigger and more impressive but still it's worth the walk.
