★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Monte Mutria si erge fino ai 1822 metri sulle teste dei sanniti fin dalla notte dei tempi. È una tra le montagne più alte del massiccio del Matese e dalla sua cima, nuvole permettendo, si possono vedere il Mar Tirreno e il Mare Adriatico. Simbolo maestoso e punto di riferimento geografico, è composto prevalentemente da rocce calcaree, al cui interno non è difficile rinvenire fossili. Il bosco fitto di faggi accompagna l'escursionista fino alla cresta sommitale, lungo un sentiero ripido ma semplice. Da visitare assolutamente.
