★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 17th century former convent church is now under responsibility of the Military Ordinariate the Catholic organisation in charge for army and other institutions staff and relatives. The church was completed in 1655 but when in 1874 Via Nazionale was laid out the street level was digged thus raising the church, so to reach its entrance was built a double staircase leading to the portico and under the stairs is now the entrance to the Crypt of the Fallen dedicated to the army chaplains and italian soldiers who were killed in both World Wars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The church is open: Weekdays 7:30 to 18:00 (Saturdays closed from 12:05 to 14:55); Sundays and Solemnities 9:00 to 12:00, 15:00 to 18:30. The closure times depend on the finishing of liturgical events.
Mass is celebrated: Weekdays 8:00, 17:30; Sundays and Solemnities 11:00, 17:30.
The Divine Office is celebrated with None at 15:00 and Vespers at 17:00 daily.
On weekdays the Chaplet of St Michael is recited at 9:30, the Rosary at 11:00, the Angelus at 12:00 (after Mass in Sundays), the Chaplet of Divine Mercy after None (also in Sundays) and the Way of the Cross at 16:00 on Fridays in Lent.
The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for veneration on weekdays from after the 8:00 Mass to after Vespers (that is, all day). On Sundays, the Exposition is from 9:00 to 10:30 and from 15:00 to after Vespers.
A spectacular interior, well worth seeing. The church is the headquarters of the Military Ordinariate of Italy. The crypt is dedicated to the memory of the Italian soldiers who were killed in both world wars, especially those priests who served as army chaplains and were killed on the Italian Front in the First World War. The total number of Italian casualties on that front was 650,000.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Underrated Cathedral. I wasn't expecting what I saw. Absolutely beautiful and stunning indoors, worth seeing even if it's for a few minutes, say a prayer and donate. It's going through some restorations as of right now.
