Great place and great vendors. You'll find here most of the local products as well as fruits, fish, meat, vegetables and so on.

Fresh food! Nice atmosphere, no yelling like other open air markets. Especially strawberries were amazing. No worries about scammers as a tourist because everything has a label.

Busy and messy which is interesting to look at. But food-wise, you will need to look the other direction when it comes to food hygiene standards, they basically don’t have any, so bring a strong stomach if you want to try local snacks. Unfortunately most of them seem to be made for tourist exclusively which makes it loose its originality.

A functioning market which is good to see. Although not in the best part of town and the food from the stalls was not as good as compared to the rest of the city. Felt more like a tourist trap and the stalls would often inflate the prices of dishes (should be 2-3 euros but was often quoted 5 euros)

Proper authentic local market. You walk the narrow street full of stalls, smell the fish and herbs in the air. Try some of the street food as it is fantastic and cheap.

Just be careful with your belongings but definitely go there. I’m Italian and I was so impressed about this market. An authentic place where to find real Sicilian street food. You should try the “panino con la milza”. Of course is not for everyone and is not the cleanest place in Palermo. Just go if you’re ready for a bit of adventure. ?
