Noble palace in the center of Palermo, well preserved and presented by a trained and helpful guy. The rooms are furnished with original tapestries and furniture, valuable paintings and numerous Murano chandeliers. A wonderful painting with the dead Christ by Van Dyck, dating back to his Palermo period.
The imposing neo-gothic staircase is not easy for people with walking difficulties, impossible for those in wheelchairs. Green Pass required to enter. The price is 10 β¬, well spent !!

Beautiful noble palace, the exterior on the square is grandiose but unfortunately run down and hardly makes you want to visit it. It needs a good restoration that would make it stand out a lot in the central square where it is located. The ticket is expensive, but the guide is included, a very good girl who made us live this beautiful experience intensely. They didn't allow me to take pictures and I don't understand why, since in all the places I visited in Palermo there was never this prohibition. Nonetheless, I recommend a very interesting visit.

β β β β β "NO PHOTOS allowed", told the girl guiding me, and this is quite disappointing! Even more now that i see many pictures published, so it was a lie.
Medieval look like staircase is the entrance trough glass decorated doors made just a century ago.
You will then enter the great music hall with an interesting wooden ceiling.
As to the rest i was impressed only by some items like the remains of a tilefloor with the family emblem hanged on a wall, and a marvellous secretaire.
Anyway with such a bad behaviour from staff, i recommend to visit instead Palazzo Mirto where you find kind staff ready to give you lots of information and let you pic as much as you want and there you find really much more deserving to be photographed.

β β β β β This guide does not give any introduction at all. He only made us feeling like a watch, who watched us all the time to avoid any unpossible damage from us and didn't allow people to walk around, must follow his way. Not worthy the ticket without service and felt unrespectful, unfree, and being forced. Very bad experience ?

β β β β β Absolute gem which we found whilst wandering in Palermo. Behind the once beautiful facade, there is an amazing history. Just being able to see behind the massive doors is amazing. Then up the wide staircase to see the fantastic stain glass doors. Several rooms are able to be viewed including a grand entrance, day room and smoking room with original leather walks. Definitely worth a visit!
