Mazzarò Sea Palace

Fantastic hotel and restaurant, private beach and all staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Surprise upgrade as well as we have just got engaged. Highly recommended!

One of my most favorite hotels. Amazing location in a small bay. You can hear the calming rush of the waves the whole day and night. Very good breakfast with everything from omlettes, fruits to pancakes. Very friendly and professional staff. The only thing is that parking is not included but for an extra charge of 27 euros a night the staff parks the car in a garage nearby. Also the tourist charge is 5 euros per night and per person but that is the case for any hotel.

This hotel and location is beautiful but I think the service is lacking. At check-in, we were held up because of a miscommunication in emails. Weeks before we arrived, I reached out to schedule and airport transfer and covid tests but did not hear back so I booked them on my own. When we arrived, concierge mentioned that they scheduled the shuttle for us and they were waiting at the airport. I apologized but let them know I did not receive an email response from the hotel. For 20 minutes, concierge searched for the email proof they sent me and I had to show them in my email that their response was never received. They did not believe me. In the email they sent me that I didn't receive, they asked questions that I never replied to because I didn't get the email. We offered to pay for it and they continued to make us feel bad and "look for a resolution." We were tired from traveling and just wanted to check in. It was all very unprofessional. At check in we were not given the Wifi password (we work while we're traveling) and weren't told that to receive service at the beach, you need to push the button the umbrella. We spent an afternoon at the beach and wondered why no one came by. At lunch one day, the server brought the wrong bottle of wine. We let him know and he insisted it was the right bottle, opened it and poured our glasses. We know the difference between chardonnay and carricante. I had to go to another server and ask that they bring the correct bottle. It turns out, they were out of the bottle of carricante we ordered so he just brought a chardonnay. That's just poor service. The bay is beautiful and the hotel grounds are well kept and luxurious. We really loved the bar terrace to watch the Euro Cup. The bay isn't as quiet as we thought it would be but we still really enjoyed it. The water is calm and clear. Overall, we wouldn't stay at this hotel again but it is a beautiful slice of Sicily.

Hotel staff rude and rooms/buildings dilapidated. Poor value for money and in no way 5 star. Better hotels in the area. Total lack of concern for health and safety.

Hello travelers. Staying at this hotel is especially not recommended with children. The service staff try to keep the 3 star hotel, which is getting on in years, but 5 stars is completely exaggerated. The teak at the pool is out of date (risk of injury!), Mold in the bathroom (!) And a bad breakfast buffet and bad food were just some of the disastrous conditions in this hotel. Finally, the travel agency does not want to pay us any money for the days that we could no longer take due to a medical emergency. VERY VERY BAD! NOT RECOMMENDED!

Lovely hotel with good service and amenities. The location is right on the beach in its own small cove. The room seemed a bit outdated, but I suppose it adds to the charm of the hotel..? If you’re looking for beachfront access, this hotel is ideal. Otherwise I would recommend staying higher up the mountain in Taormina. Breakfast was a bit chaotic each morning (they don’t allow you to serve yourself so you must wait for the staff to scoop food onto the plate). When we asked for a wine bottle opener, they refused to send one for the room and instead sent a staff member every time we needed something opened..

We had a fantastic time during our stay at Mazzarò Sea Palace. The hotel is very clean with excellent service and very attentive staff. Breakfast was amazing and all meals at the restaurant we’re of very high standard. We look forward to coming back here soon.

We had an incredible stay at the Mazzaro Sea Palace for my birthday, the breakfast is delicious and the service was brilliant. Very attentive. Lots of good quality comfortable sun loungers. Beds & bedding are very comfortable. The hotel staff are lovely and want to make sure your stay is perfect. Great location on the beach and a quick 3 min walk to the cable car up into Taormina. Thanks for a great stay!!
