★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The problem with this hotel is that it shouldn't be a 5 star. The only person who knows how to do her job is the manager. People at the restaurant are rude, and so is the staff at the bar, even the lifeguard attitude is bad! I had an awful tuna Tartare, we got a room with the jacuzzi but the view unfortunately was completely covered by the trees, the room was tiny and definitely not worth 490€!
We've been to the Metropole hotel before this one and let me say, it might not have the beach but at similar prices you get a totally different experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a perfect stay here. Our cabana was perfectly located along the beach. The private jacuzzi was a perfect touch. The resort, and room was extremely clean. The staff was extremely helpful, and very accommodating. The city of Taormina is just a short drive away.
We will definitely be staying here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely incredible! Great service, great people, and really good food! We used the spa and it was so relaxing and she listened to every request. The food was so delicious and we had an mesmerizing view of the ocean. Marcos is the general manager and he made sure our time there was well spent, really accommodating. Highly recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent a weekend there and I loved the place. It’s nice, clam and great atmosphere. The beach is very nice too and the staff are very kind and always willing to help.
The fusion restaurant is a let down however so do not bother to go. There are plenty good restaurants in the centre of Taormina.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have never left a review for anything before but felt I’ve have to after the awful way I’ve been spoken to by one of the bar staff here. Quite shocking the tone they’ve taken - clear that they didn’t want to serve me at all, and can’t think of any reason why this would be.
It’s a nice beach but incredibly expensive to stay for a day (lifeguards are really nice by the way!). When paying a fortune to spend a day somewhere I think the least you can expect is to be made welcome.
Would really hope the hotel addresses this because it’s a disgrace to be honest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a wonderful stay at La Plage! The staff is friendly and accommodating ... we especially loved the welcome experience: being greeted with champagne on the patio. The location cannot be beat. Taormina town is very charming, but the real draw was the relaxation and beautiful views of the beach - and La Plage has the best one in Taormina. Our room, complete with a jacuzzi overlooking the beach was perfect. The Beach Bar has an excellent cocktail menu and great food. One Note: This is not a 5-Star hotel .... we were not expecting 5-Star based on the prices but as long as you go in with that expectation you will have a wonderful experience! It is still reallllly nice, just not what you would get at a 5-Star hotel like, e.g., the Four Seasons.
