Perhaps the most beautiful and most unique structure of the whole site. The presence of water and fish revives the loneliness of an archaeological site about 2000 years of which little remains. Virtual reality could convey to visitors the grandeur and magnificence of the past.

β β β β β Bellissimo.
Very beautifull. One of the three most beautiful archaeological sites inside Villa Adriana. The beautiful and poetic symmetry of the group of columns is fascinating

In this archaeological site nothing has been left to chance: in the settlement there are spas, libraries, triclinii, immense pools of water surrounded by statues and lots of greenery, the Temple of Venus and the Maritime Theater where the Emperor retired to rest in the utmost confidentiality.
Imposing structures that time wears out inexorably but, despite all this, they still manage to convey to us the greatness and magnificence of the work and the glories of that era in which the Romans dominated the world.

β β β β β According to the Augusta story, attributed to Γlio Esparciano, "Adriano, adorned admirable buildings in his village of Tibur: you can see the names of the most famous provinces and places such as the Lyceum, the Academy, the Prytaneum, the Canopy, the Portico Painted, the Tempe Valley. Not wanting to omit anything, Adriano did have the Shadow Residence built. " It is deduced from this text, that Adriano had the place built, with references to the various localities he met during the travels he made when Roman Emperor.
