★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imponente. Acquedotto/ponte romano vicino Tivoli. Visitato nelle giornate del FAI (normalmente è chiuso al pubblico). Peccato per lo stato di conservazione.
Imposing. Roman aqueduct / bridge near Tivoli. Visited during the FAI days (it is normally closed to the public). Too bad for the state of conservation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ponte Lupo nella campagna del Comune di Roma a 30 km circa dal Campidoglio ( facebook _ ponte lupo: il gigante dell'acqua ) _ da Wikipedia... fu costruito nel 144 a.C. per portare l'Acqua Marcia a Roma, attraverso la Valle dell'Aniene ed è situato nella tenuta di San Giovanni in Campo Orazio di proprietà del Baliaggio Barberini dell'omonima famiglia (che ne cura la visita ) e dove, secondo la leggenda, si sarebbe svolta la battaglia degli Orazi e Curiazi. ...è alto più di 30 metri ed è lungo più di 100 metri.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ogni parola o aggettivo, di fronte a questo gigante, a questo grande custode della storia romana, é davvero poca cosa. Ponte Lupo é ponte, acquedotto e diga, realizzato nel 144 AC. Grande, maestoso, antico, é sopravvissuto, attaccato tenacemente alla sua terra, a quel luogo magico, fino ad oggi. Si rimane stupiti nel guardarlo già solo da lontano, quando ci si passa sotto, e poi oltre, ci si innamora!!! L acqua è la stessa del fosso Dell acqua rossa, cui ovviamente è vicino. Per visitarlo bisogna prenotare, poiché si trova all interno della tenuta dei principi Barberini.... Volete un consiglio??? Andate ? merita anche il panorama, tra l altro poco distante dal ponte c è un gran bella cascata, alta ben 50 metri. Il percorso è agevole.
