★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello non è accessibile, non si può visitare né avvicinarcisi, è transennato in quanto non sicuro. A fianco vi è un'azienda che alleva bovini, con negozio di vendita diretta. Si può liberamente girare per l'azienda e vedere gli animali. La carne che ho acquistato era molto buona, il personale gentile, i prezzi accessibilissimi. Vendono anche carne di maiale di un'altra azienda della zona, salsicce molto buone.
 The castle is not accessible, it cannot be visited or approached, it is cordoned off as it is not safe. Next to it there is a company that raises cattle, with a direct sales shop. You can freely walk around the farm and see the animals. The meat I bought was very good, the staff were kind, the prices were very affordable. They also sell pork from another company in the area, very good sausages.

Immerso nelle campagne di Gallicano nel Lazio, il Castello di Passerano, con la sua pianta quadrangolare, le sue torri merlate e le fortificazioni medioevali, è uno dei manieri meglio conservati del Centro Italia. Edificato nel XIV secolo, la sua proprietà è passata attraverso le famiglie Colonna, Orsini e Rospigliosi, con quest’ultima che ne ha detenuto la proprietà fino al 1923, allorquando il barone Paolo Quintieri lo rilevò insieme a circa 1000 ettari di terreno che circondano il castello.
Alla morte del barone Quintieri, l’intera tenuta di Passerano è passata in proprietà alla Regione Campania.
Guided tours
Immersed in the Gallicano countryside in Lazio, the Castle of Passerano, with its quadrangular plan, its crenellated towers and medieval fortifications, is one of the best preserved manors in Central Italy. Built in the 14th century, its property passed through the Colonna, Orsini and Rospigliosi families, with the latter having owned the property until 1923, when Baron Paolo Quintieri took over it together with about 1000 hectares of land surrounding the castle.
On the death of Baron Quintieri, the entire Passerano estate became the property of the Campania Region.
