LOPEZ - GIOIELLERIA - TEA ROOM

Un luogo certamente naif, fuori dal comune e molto ricercato. Dai servizi di tè in ceramica, al rito e i dolci hand made. Il servizio è very very slow, in tutto, e prendere un tè costa circa 20€! Mi sembra un pò troppo, forse più da gioielleria!

Una piacevole scoperta! Nascosta in una delle più nelle vie di como, questa tea room d’élite sa riportare indietro nel tempo come per magia. Cioccolata al gianduia più buona mai provata, torte fatte al momento ed un tè verde matcha eccellente. Torneremo senz’altro per provare anche il caffè.

A nice and original place but a very expensive tea room. Prices are not indicated and we were asked 25 euros for a hot chocolate and a basic piece of cake...

My absolute favorite place in this world. Lovely LOVELY owner. Amazing tea and out-of-this-world homemade cakes. She also loves making cocktails (some using tea).

I used to go here for tea and cake but now I go here for my coffee too because just being in this place for a few minutes brightens up my whole day. Always a pleasure to visit this unique gem and escape the modern world for a little while. The best part is I have no internet or cell network here so I really get to detach and just enjoy my coffee and sweets that Ms.Lopez so kindly prepares for me everytime. If my diet allowed I would go here for the fruitti di bosco or the Violetta cake every single day. She also makes this super energizing coffee with blended hazelnuts in it which is very nutritious and kept me focused for the heavy amount of work I had to do that day. Their regular espresso is very smooth and warms up the soul like a true delicacy. Just be mindful that this is not a place to have a quick coffee or tea on the go. If that's what you have in mind there are bars every 20 meters of this vicinity where you can grab a quick on-the-go drink. This is somewhere you go to relax, detach and spend some time to take in all that this place has to offer.

If you wish that you were living in a different era and want to forget the world you're in now, this is the place to go. It is called a tea room/museum because every inch of this place offers something fascinating and unique.The coffee machine they use and their whole bar set up is from decades ago but very well kept and still functional. You can purchase all the utensils and dishware and glassware you use to eat and drink in which is incredible. It's like going to a Museum from 1920's, being able to eat and drink in and then walk home with the artifacts you used. The teas are all natural and organic so don't expect it to taste like artifically flavored tea bags you get at other cafes. The cakes, sweets and pastries are all home made with a lot of love and passion that you can really taste. Our favorites are the Violetta and Frutto di Bosco cake. We also have ordered cocktails here but we do not know the names. We tell Mrs.Lopez that we want something fruity and she works her magic. From the tea cups you drink tea in, to the clothing pieces hanging around, every single piece holds a very high sentimental value. If you do not value the era this place was designed around, and don't understand the amount of passion and love it takes to create + maintain this atmosphere, you are better off going to a regular pastry/coffee shop. Here you do not find a price on their menu because drinking and eating here is not regular. It is an experience that you really cannot put a price tag on. However the incredibly nice and polite owners will always greet you with a smile and answer any questions you may have about the price. Overall, highly recommended place to travel through time and forget about life for an hour or two.

It was on of the best team room in my life!!the owners are the best.. Ms Lopez was an incredible person and with very positive energy!!!it is amazing and you can feel the while history. I like that it is a family business as well..I don't have words..I can put 10/5 if it was possible.Many thanks.
