★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very bad experience at Osteria del Gallo. We ordered a table for 9 and they confirmed that they have room for us, the table was very small that we had to literally huddle, it was so hot and crowded that it was really uncomfortable to sit (not to mention even the covid issue, which was not at all pleasant to sit in such a crowded place). We waited an hour for the first course (we ordered just focaccia and prosciutto ...), and another hour for the second course, they really couldn't handle the load (not to mention the kids really went crazy), and the dishes were not tasty, I have to say that non of them was good. They filled a small restaurant with too many tables and too many people and at the end it was crowded and everyone were waiting too long for their dishes. The experience was very very bad for us and I will never come back to this place again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely family owned restaurant! They were extremely friendly, they gave us a table at a late time, served us delicious food and explained how they made it and where did they collect their ingredients from. Local cuisine made with love, 100% recommendable experience !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty, homemade dishes. Especially focaccia and chicken with baked potatoes. The red wine was also good and strong. For our 5 days stay at Como, we visited Osteria del Gallo 3 times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cute, cozy little joint, run by several generations of a family. The menu changes every day, so I'm not sure what to expect/recommend, but the dishes we tried were both excellent (particularly the roast beef). The house wine was perfect, and the staff were so nice, to the point that when we asked one of them to take a photo of us, they went and brought us additional decoration to put on our table to make the photo nicer. All in all, a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely fresh italian restaurant. The menu is small and focuses on daily freshly made food. We had the lasagna and the orrichieti. Both tasted really nice, as if cooked from the mama. The tiramisu and chocolate and nut cake were totallu worth it, both tasted really good. The daily house wine was nice as well. I would highly recommend. The staff is really nice and friendly. The restaurant has a really nice selections of wines and delicacies that you can buy on the spot. It ks a little gem in como ? would come back again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic restaurant; authentic, reasonably priced and extremely tasty. Had tried for ages to get a table, finally managed the food did not dissapoint. Seasonal menu, changes every month - basically everything is delicious. Can highly recommend their homemade Spritz as well!
