★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped by at 12:30 on Saturday and though it was open, the place was empty. We waited ~10 mins before a very grumpy man (assuming the owner) came by to ask our order. We ordered a simple fries for takeaway and had a coffee while we waited. We were sitting outside, but could hear a full on screaming match between the man and the woman going on in the back kitchen. About 5 other customers stopped by during this time, but ended up leaving as there was no service. After a while we went inside to ask how long the fries would be, and we were sharply told they weren’t going to come so we should leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was very good - we had fish with potatoes for the main course and tiramisu for dessert. The restaurant looked nice too. Giving it four stars instead of five stars though because the waitress was a bit cold and unsmiling, and the house wine she poured was a very small portion (maybe 75 ml only).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked this place because it was close to our B&B and we were hungry for lunch. Not disappointed. Pasta was fresh and so was the fish. Service was very good and English was well spoken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best beef ragu we had all holiday. Stopped here for lunch on our hike from Riomaggiore to Coniglia. The restaurant was nice and service was good. It has a nice outdoor terrace to sit if you wish. Bit pricy but was a good lunch. 25euro pp.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best meal I had in Italy. I recommend to everyone. The service was very good, our waitress was very kind and spoke very well English. I recommend to everyone who is passing by Volastra or even make the detour to come eat here. Only Cinque Terre wines are on the menu, which is PERFECT! #local
We had the fish dégustation menu: gastronomic level.
