Totally a really amazing experience.
I have 4 stars to menú only due to a "carne cruda" being not the best eaten and the quantity of the food that could have been a bit more.
However DA NON PERDERE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few times every couple of years one might have a luxury of visiting a place like Locanda in Cannubi. The location is 5 star, the wine list is 5 star, the service and hospitality a solid 5 star. The food is perhaps a 4.5, but all in all this is world class and an unforgettable experience at a very OK price! Remember to book well in advance!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location, as you can expect in the heart of Langhe, was stunning.
Food was brilliant and tasted great with an interesting selection.
Wine of course was brilliant.
However, the service was a bit so so. The waiters sat us down and were a bit inattentive - we ran out of wine and no one came back or came near us to grab their attention.
The main issue that occurred was at dessert.
My partner ordered a dish and the wrong item came out; no big deal, it happens. Positively, another waiter replaced the wrong dessert but while we were eating the original waiter then came to our table and said “you didn’t order this, you ordered the dish I brought you”. This was patently incorrect as it contains ingredients my partner doesn’t enjoy. It also wasn’t a language issue as my partner is Italian. It felt a bit off and passive aggressive.
So, overall, worth a visit (great value as well) if you’re in the area but they need to improve that service if they want to really get to the higher levels.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The last stop of our truffle foodie tour was in the Barolo area. After seeing all these wonderful sites and restaurants I had to be honest my expectations were low… and I was swept off my feet. First, this is by far the most beautiful settings we have seen with endless panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards. And then the food was just exquisite, Italian classic revisited with flair and we just didn’t want to leave the restaurant. A must go
