★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean, nice and friendly people. Lots of cafés and restaurants amd shopping possibilities. Yet no real structure, no feelable Center of the city. And whilst sitting in the restaurants open air you will be presented some "cheapy cheapy products" once in a while by passing street sellers (which i personally really don't like).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are almost near Switzerland from Luino which is above from Varese city. This is a beautiful spot for a walk near the lake area. Very wonderful place and if you happen to be in this place ...do go for a walk !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wednesdays well-known Street market. The quality by most of them is arguable. I like the ferry-Journey from Verbania to Luino much more. The view of Lake Maggiore and surroundings was the highlight!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hiking at Lago Maggiore. 5 km long, 10 km wide, 342 m deep. On Lake Maggiore are around 25 passenger ships, one of which is a historic paddle steamer, as well as a car ferry from Intra to Laveno. The lake is very rich in fish, some professional fishermen earn their livelihood to this day. There are 8 islands in the lake, some of which are built on historic buildings and botanical gardens. It is fed by several well-known rivers, including Ticino, Toce, Maggia and Verzasca. The climate is very mild and Mediterranean, which is why cacti, palms and tropical fruits grow here. Many famous cities with nostalgic charm also from the belle epoque around 1900 and several sights can be found around the lake such as Locarno with its sanctuary, Ascona, Maggia and Verzasca Valley, Verbania with its botanical gardens, Stresa with its zoo, Angera with its castle and the monastery of Santa Caterina del Sasso, built into a rock face, to name but a few. Lago Maggiore is a worthwhile holiday destination that inspires guests from all over the world in the winter with pleasant temperatures and many different activities. Relax and enjoy good times here...
