I’ve been eating for years and it has never failed me! I like to bring my guests here when they visit and it’s always a big hit. Definitely a must!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ just came back after 5 days with my daughters. it was the only place i came to eat twice. an amazing family restaurant, from appetizers to deserts . i especially recommend the sea-bass and the soups.. this place has an authentic Italian atmosphere' and it's in my "Roma" list for the next time. thank you guys..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our best dinners in Rome for a decent price at that. The staff were friendly, the ambience was great (quieter than what you’ll usually see in Rome), space was cozy. All the food was absolutely amazing - we had the fresh pasta with tomato and mussels, gnocchi with milk, lemon and cheese, and share the osso bucco and would order everything again.

What I personally liked the most of the restaurant was the different types of dishes they offered. We had ossobuco, gnocchi and a veal and the 3 plates were delicious. It's a great option and the service is great.

Sharing a bottle of Chianti wine didn’t hurt the romance either.
Privacy and a lived-in feel mark the charming low-lit nooks of this restaurant.
The short pasta with mussels, tomato and pecorino cheese was satisfying. Tiramisu left us with a delightful sugar rush to cap the dinner.
Book La Vecchia for a casual, romantic time in Rome, but also come hungry as the portions are generous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is authentic and the staff was lovely. Both the owner and the waiter offered advice on local food and wine. Definitely recommend it. Atmosphere is cozy. Price is reasonable for a good meal. The highlight was pasta with porcini mushrooms, simply delicious!
