★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be completely honest we were scared before entering into this little place situated in a touristic piazza de Bologna. We haven't had any other choice for desert because it was holiday and everything was closed.
At first sight the place seemed great, beautiful with pastries displayed everywhere (which by the way looked delicious).
We had due coppetti de gelati, and a small almond tart (which is one of the Italian specialty). Ice creams where clearly tasty, the pistacchio was the best, and the antica cream was very interesting.
Finally, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an historical break during a long day visit !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor service despite it being quiet. The soup was lovely but the tagliatelle al ragu was almost cold. We had to wait ages for the bill and in the end walked to the counter to pay. Will not go back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place truly is a very good example of Italian cuisine. Do not hesitate; you can do a lot lot worse as a tourist (as we regrettably found out) Al Voltone saved the day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice caffeteria-restaurant at the centre of Bologna. Good decoration, beautiful objects hanging from the ceiling, a lot of wine bottles. Great selection of coffee, tea and wine. Polite waiters, quick service, but they are not speaking english very well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly not the best gelato but most definitely a great hot chocolate. The fresh homemade panna is to die for but keep in mind is one of the most expensive ones in town. The location obviously makes it way more overpriced but if you want to splurge on it go for it.
