We were super excited to eat here after hearing all about the family owned and operated nature of the place. Scheduled it for our first night in Positano. They offered a shuttle to come get us which missed us once but they sent another after we called them. It’s fairly vertical with a ton of turns so something to note if you get car sick. The view was incredible once we got here and the sunset made it better and better! They came out, introduced us to their concept and told us what they would be serving today. We told them about our β€œno pork no alcohol” restrictions and they were accommodating. The food overall was very disappointing. Barely any flavor/seasoning. This may be them trying to showcase the ingredients fully but it seemed lacking for us. Starters were Buffalo mozzarella, bread, and a bunch of steamed veggies and some eggplant dishes. The peas, broccoli, and mozzarella were good however the rest was mediocre. Next m was the pasta, mediocre, nothing much to write about. The gnocchi was the best dish on the plate but nothing exceptional. Finally we had the meat plate, the meats were char grilled but under seasoned. It contained rabbit, chicken, Turkey and a ribeye. Dessert was okay as well and they provided espresso on request. Maybe we expected a lot after reading the hype in some of these reviews but I would definitely skip next time I’m in town.

My husband and I had our daughters rehearsal dinner at La Tagliata everything was amazing. Our guests are still talking about it. From the wonderful food to the dancers to the DJ everything was perfect. It’s not easy pleasing a crowd of 45 from New Jersey but boy were they pleased. Looking forward to going back in the future. It’s a must try!!!!!!!

Please ignore any of the negative comments you have seen. It’s not a tourist trap. It’s something of a family dining experience mixed in with a small farm. Genuine people and not a place for the lettuce eaters in your family. This is bulk Italian food on a family dinner scale. Think big. Think wine. Think family discussions on a terrace that has a world class view. If you leave here thinking other places are better, you have a small soul and should mind your manners and bottle up your opinions, no one needs to hear it. Apologies for the harsh review on other reviews but they are simply wrong. If the view doesn’t move you, there’s lots of other things to like.

We booked a group cooking class here and it was the highlight of our trip (we also had a wedding ceremony on the trip and more people were talking about this, that’s how amazing this class was!). This place is truly family run, from picking vegetables in the garden to cooking with papa, everything was beyond all of our expectations. And everything we made was delicious. There is a LOT of food, come hungry!

Fun experience. Come hungry. You will be stuffed!!!! Great value for the price. Wine included. We had the white and it was very nice. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Feels like your part of the family.

Amazing experience! Tony was the best, he took very good care of our table and the pasta was the best pasta we’ve had on our tour of Italy so far. Incredible views, incredible food, incredible experience. This place is magnificent and I could not recommend it more. Thank you so much for a memorable lunch! Will be back for sure. ❀️

If I were to rate the experience, I would offer 5 stars. Based on the quality of the food, I am offering 3 stars. The setting is amazing and highly perched on the mountain over looking Positano. I am a vegetarian and they will accommodate though you must request as your server begins to bring food to the table family style. Some items seemed over cooked and flavor lacking. The family who hosts you is delightful and welcoming. I do wish they had shared some background of what is grown on the farm to add to the farm to table experience.

Beautiful setting and lovely family run restaurant. We got the shuttle bus from Positano and were warmly welcomed. We feasted on a range of dishes, from local pastas, to veggies, grilled meats and great desserts. There is only the family red and white on offer (the red is not for the faint hearted as it is not up to scratch with other local house wines). We were left waiting for over an hour for our shuttle on the way home (despite being one of the first groups there). The shuttle bus also hit a moped on the way back, which was rather funny after the Boston family in our bus started making fun of the driver. At €50 a head the value is fantastic. Also, being out of the centre away from the idiot tourists was a bonus. However, the food needed that extra element to turn it from a pub lunch to a true reflection of the family vibe. The portions are huge! Even the Boston family struggled….
