We reserved and booked a bike but in the end we didnt get it! poor service and unfriendly staff

My fiancé and I are from Toronto, Canada and we got engaged in the Amalfi in March 2022. We found Positano Vintage Dream on Instagram and decided to use their vintage fiat 500 car for our engagement shoot. We asked the company for any recommendations on photographers. They gave us the contact information for Piera plus David Photography. The two companies have worked together many times and knew what they were doing. We couldn’t be happier with our driver Mauro. He picked us up from our Villa and took us around Positano as we took our engagement photos. Mauro suggested many locations in positano and took photos for us as well. He sent us all of the photos the same day. We couldn’t be happier with this service and already recommended this company to all of our friends and family.

I’m not the one to go online and write a negative review but I had the worst experience with this car rental company. Found out about them through Instagram and loved their cars and content so I decided to rent out the fiat 500 convertible. Mind you I booked the car one month in advance. I was staying in Sorrento on the day of the rental so they were suppose to deliver the car at 10 am for an extra fee cause they’re located in Positano, which is totally understandable. We were staying at the Amalfi coast for 4 days, which is pretty short, so we had our days planned out. We were actually glad that we decided to rent the car on our last day there cause it was a bit gloomy and we were totally fine with exploring the coast by car. Next thing you know they text us ONE hour before they were suppose to deliver the car telling us they had to cancel because it had been raining in Positano. They did it in such a way as if it was the most common thing in the world. I never had a company cancel on me on such short notice. And I travel a lot and regularly rent out cars. This obviously didn’t sit right with me, cause we’ve had other reservations that day thinking we would have the car. They cancelled cause the roads were “too slippery and dangerous”. Mind you it hadn’t even been raining for that long and it was suppose to clear up during the rest of the day. Apart from that it had already been known days before that it was going to rain that morning. Even I knew this, but according to them the weather only showed rain that morning. They then went on to tell me that they added cancellation to the booking since April 20th and that my booking was made earlier so that’s why I wasn’t informed about the possibility of cancelation. How is that my problem now all of the sudden? I wish we would’ve known this cause I wouldn’t have taken such risk and booked somewhere else. Our last day was totally ruined and I had to rebook and cancel all the other reservations we made for the rest of that day. Oh and we took the taxi to Positano the exact same day and the roads were definitely not slippery and dangerous and there were other tourist driving around in vintage cars. I wouldn’t recommend this company. I had a very unpleasant experience and they never texted me back either. They did offer to bring the car after they realized how unhappy I was, but I felt like the damage had already been done at that point. Plus we had already lost way too much time for the amount they charge. Waiting for them to answer me with how it was in my own best interest they didn’t rent out the car to me :)

We booked the Alfa Spider and we had an amazing time! The cars are immaculate and easy to drive. If you are wanting a fun adventure while in Positano rent a car and take the beautiful drive.
