Great location overlooking the spiaggia beach. Perfect restaurant for lunch on sunny day.
Also had tuna salad which was ok. I was hoping for fresh tuna but seems like they used can tuna.
Service was a bit slow.
Seemed like a very popular place. Mix of locals and tourist both.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please don't go here!!! 143 Euro for two people. Much too expensive! Everything was reasonable except they charged us 81 Euro for the fish of the day. It was big enough for my wife and I to each have one fillet and four pieces of vegetables each. I asked the staff about my bill and they basically just shrugged and said it was 143. I would have felt ok paying 80 euro total, but it was far too expensive. Go elsewhere until they do better business!!!!

We went for drinks. Two beer costed us €21, mind it small one. This place is a big rip off. €6 per person cover charge and €4 for small bottle of water.
Its better buy a beer from a store (which is 1 mi walking distance) and drink it along the beach. Lots of people were doing it. Thats when I realised, why this place is empty at lunch hour. There are nice benches to sit. I am not going to this place again.

Just keep an eye before deciding to sit inside if there is a big group, the acoustic of the place is not the best and it can turn very loud. Other than that we recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Positano in January, and learned that almost every other restaurant had closed until April - CHECK the calendar and their websites before coming!
La Cambusa was one of three sit-down restaurants that remained open - we're sure glad that they did!
We walked the 500 stairs down from our hotel and enjoyed a VERY good italian meal of 2 bruchetta, 2 different dishes of seafood pasta, shared a salad and two glasses of wine. and a shared lemon tiramisu for dessert. I had the pacheri with catch of the day, my wife seafood vongole.
The food was fresh and prepared nicely; however, just too expensive, by about 20% - I guess that's the Positano tax. At just over 100 Euro for two people, it was good food, just over priced.
Then we walked 500 stairs back to the top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great view of the beach, just steps away. I had the seafood homemade pasta. The pasta was so chewy and delicious. They have tables outside and inside that is covered. I thought the pasta was the best in Positano.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend this place over the more popular Chez Black. Less crowded. Better views. You will eat and be happy by the time a server even gets to you at other places. The waiters are friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic and they have an extensive local wine selection. The seafood was fresh and fabulous. Menu in English if needed. Absolutely recommend anything with calamari as it is so tender and perfectly sautéed. Yes, the prices are high, but it’s a tourist town and that’s to be expected. Home made gnocchi and pasta are 100% perfect.
