★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have the pleasure of visiting Italy frequently throughout the year. This is my favorite restaurant in Rome. The food is great, the staff is professional and warm, and the wine cellar is superbly stocked. Take the time to visit the wine cellar in a former ossuary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is likely now one of my favorite restaurants in Rome. My friend invited my wife and I to dine here for dinner! We’ve not heard of it and it was our first night in Rome. We are so glad we went! The service was terrific and the food is so wonderful. Its a bit further way from the main attraction in Rome, but it’s so worth it to travel out! There were really no tourists in the restraints. Majority were local Italians gathering for dinner/evening date! So you know that it’s legit Italian food! The ambience felt like a romantic Italian restaurant! I also had the chance to go to their cellar! It was pretty awesome to see. They had wine bottles from the 1970’s wow! I would recommend Archeologia for anyone who wants to experience great food, with great service at a very affordable cost! I can’t wait to visit Rome and eat here again! :) Thank you to the staff and well done to the chef and his team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was very pretty, although not quite as good as the fancy presentation, the overall atmosphere of the place and the price led me to expect. I also felt a little neglected as a lone customer, but that unfortunately happens often when you’re eating by yourself, whatever the restaurant’s standing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a classy place in the hearth of a very historical place in Rome. Here, you can eat very typical dishes, and taste good wine. Probably price is not the lowest, but for a special occasion is highly recommended. Take into account that parking here is very hard: being in the Appia Antica street, you can't really park in front of the restaurant.
