★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Atmospheric traditional place. Open fireplace is nice in winter - not sure how it would be in summer. It's the last restaurant for several km if you're heading south along the Via Appia by bike or on foot. Obviously a local place, and the food was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing gem I've recently found through a friend of mine. I was there a couple of nights ago and had a blast. Atmosphere was brilliant old style roman. Good and wine great and the choice of meat to grill astonishing. Alvaro e Erminio, the two brothers running it are very helpful and straight forward. Thanks to Fabrizio for bringing me there. I'll be back for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It looks and feels like a very nice casual place, but there is no menu exposed outside, so you have no idea how much you’re going to spend till it’s too late. As it turns out, prices phenomenally high for a place of this sort.
I didn’t get a chance to sit down, because they were full. The lady who was at the door told us that she could have made us some panini and we accepted, even though there was no mention of the price. When the food arrived we were shocked at how much she asked... €18 discounted to €15 without even asking, for three average panini, same price as on the motorway. She also told us that up the road they would have been much more expensive, while as we later found out, they ere actually cheaper. No receipt given either. This was very disappointing and it actually put us off from going back, which having seen other negative reviews, it's not a bad thing after all.
