★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Similarly tried this place from the Guardian review. High expectation but sadly reality was far from it. There are far better locations for a start but hoping to be impressed I gave it a try. It was described as spit and sawdust and this part of the review was about as accurate as it got.
The service was neither friendly nor rude, just not welcoming. Choice of wine was good and average priced.
The menu was ok, much like most other similar looking places. The meal was disappointing, not bad but not even average. The price was E20 pp which wasn't good value. It wasn't worth finding this place, I wouldn't go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is just normal, but prices are high ( around 35 € for two people, with no drinks and one dish ). The pasta home made could be home made, but the taste and the texture are as the rest of the common ones. One of the worst toilets I ever seen, you will share with the waiters' change room. The place has too many tables so you really have to squeeze in your place. I won't recommend it.

The reason I gave only four stars is we had the big antipasti platter to share..:which was delicious but a small portion considering the €19 price tag. My daughter also had a smaller antipasti plate which was also tasty but came with a €9.50 price tag and the portion was small. Considering the massive pasta portions that were around the €7 mark, those two plates weren’t good value. Avoid those two. Order the pasta dishes and you will have an amazing meal for a great price. The tortellini with bolognese sauce was the favorite at the table. One of the best we’ve had so far in our 13 days in Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were friendly and the environment was cosy. The food I ate was decent but portions were not particularly big. Would recommend the Pappardelle with Boar(€9.5) as the best pasta on the menu, as the other dishes ordered by my friends were underwhelming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited the place with family. Friendly personnel. It was a challenge communicating in English, but wasn’t a big problem after all. From deserts we liked Tiramisu most, but apple cake was so so. Cappuccino and latte was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the beef stew and got so much sinew I could eat a quarter of my meal. The flavor was good but that was about it.
The host treated us like we were an inconvenience rather than customers. We tried to engage in conversation and he essentially ignored us.
Would not recommend.
