J	Janet Birtles on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our Wonderfull hostess Rita made our 4 day stay at I’ll Portichetto one of the best experiences we have had on this trip. Rita served up an excellent breakfast every morning. Also a very good menu was available in the restaurant which we took advantage of every night of our stay. The food and the service was second to none. The accommodation was excellent and included coffee and tea making facilities in our room. We had a room looking out on the swimming pool and also an olive grove - the scenery all around us was superb. Would happily stay here if we ever get the chance to return.

The restaurant gave us a feeling of an authentic local eatery away from the popular tourist spots in Varenna. I'm not very fluent in Italian but I can understand and maintain a short conversation and although they spoke English here, it was satisfying to see their patience with us and our broken Italian! ? We ate local fish from the lake and risotto with fish that was quite good. Great place to drink our eat when visiting the Castle.
K	Kristina S. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had only dinner here. Lovely place, “home cook taste & feel”. Trout & beef were both mesmerizingly delicious. It was by far the best dinner we had in Varenna, Bellano area. Recommend to sit outside for the best ambience. The service/host was great.
P	Patrick Suhner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not so big restaurant in the small village of Vezio. But the waitress will accomodate you and you will be rapidly served good typical italian food. Italian prices, it means more than reasonable.

A beautiful little bed and breakfast, warm and welcoming owner, super clean rooms and excellent food! €10 euro taxi ride to get from Varenna town or a 15 minute walk down a steep pathway. Make sure you eat at the restaurant! Would love to have spent more time here.
D	Daniel Koh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Accommodation was clean, spacious and very well priced. Use the pool and jacuzzi if you can! Breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate. It's definitely also worth having dinner. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. If you're around the area, pop in and say hi to Rita!

The menu is versatile and the meal (ravioli filled with fish) as well as the dessert (sort of apple pie, freshly made, with vanilla ice cream) were delicious. The restaurant offers a wide range of wines (of course) but also surprisingly offers some local beers, we didn't know even existed.

Sweetest little dog hanging around the property, has a pool and hot tub to hang out in, room was comfortable, and the staff was so kind and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!
