Everything is nice and calm and Russel looks after everyone with kindness, smiles and a great attitude. The food and wine are absolutely perfect.
S	S Springer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the pictures it looked much more lively than in real life. Surroundings and views are beautiful, but the restaurant had very little atmosphere. The whole site was pretty much abandoned, which of course didn't help for atmosphere. ;) We were not impressed with the food: quite salty and uninspired. We did buy a bottle of red wine to take home, which was absolutely delicious! Soft and complex. But for 25 euro, the price-quality balance was off (found the same bottle at the airport later for 24 euros btw... Since airports normally have rip-off prices and it was less expensive than at the hotel itself... hmmm, makes you think). Owner was quite reserved, but nonetheless friendly and helpful! :)

The food is good but the menu is limited and gets boring after three days. Problems: When the weather gets really hot the air conditioning does not work very well and the rooms get uncomfortably hot during the day. There is no elevator. It is two flights of stairs getting to the front desk And then another flight up to the rooms.. don’t go to this hotel if you have problems with climbing stairs.

The hotel and vineyard is still run by the same family, the two brothers Corrado and Paolo were very welcoming and showed us around the impressive building and the old wine cellar underneath. During the day, Rasil takes care of you and his motto is "anything you need, no problem"! He made our stay even better, we could order drinks and something small to eat whenever we wanted, even when the restaurant was closed one night. We were lucky enough to see an Etna eruption at dinner time, it was a magical. Do keep in mind, this is a quiet area and beyond the restaurant there is little activity or nightlife. Despite the remoteness, this is a good place to explore the Etna (1.5h drive), Alcantara gorge (30m) and Taormina (30m). Highly recommend it!

The restaurant was a bit disappointing in terms of atmosphere. In the morning there was an excellent breakfast with fresh baked croissants. Hotel Feudo Vagliasindi is a good location for a relaxing break during your round-trip through Sicily.
